The Plymouth Herald interviewed Dr Jan Knight on the Lumiblast project.
In February 2018, Baroness Tessa Jowell, revealed in a brave and passionate speech in the House of Lords that she had been diagnosed with an aggressive, practically incurable brain tumour, glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). She knew her condition was terminal and she could have just retired from public life to be with her family but chose instead to use her position to try to get across the fact that the only way these kinds of diseases can be tackled is by world-wide collaboration.
