Universitat Politècnica de València

The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is a major institution for higher education and science. It is one of the three classical Technical Universities in Spain, together with those established in Madrid and Barcelona. More than 1.500 staff scientists and over 35.000 students work at UPV. According to the Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai), UPV ranks among the top 75 institutions in the field of Chemistry. The Institute of Chemical Technology UPV-CSIC is a large research centre, located at the campus of the UPV in Valencia. The Institute has received the highly recognized Spanish Severo Ochoa Label of Excellence (the first one awarded in Chemistry nationwide).
